St. Kilda Apartment

The existing 1970’s apartment was blessed with generous proportions but was in otherwise poor repair having been tenanted for many years. The new owners could see past the peeling laminate cabinets and shag pile carpet and had visions of a New York inspired apartment whilst retaining its retro heritage. The apartment refurbishment included opening up the galley kitchen to the hallway to encourage better natural light and a more generous dining spill over area. The separate laundry was also upgraded to become a combined butler’s pantry, connected to the kitchen via a concealed sliding pocket door. The traditional bathroom layout with the separate bath was removed to make way for a generous walk in shower with integrated shower niche and double vanity unit.
